Common Gym Supplements and Equipment

Gaining muscle and losing fat is done by simple, relentless, hard work. Supplements are not the answer to your problems. However, there are some that can aid a good diet and should be looked into if your diet is already down and in shape. Some of the common ones include:

 Whey Protein
- A quick absorbing protein often taken after a workout.

 Casein Protein
- A slow releasing protein often taken before bed time.

Creatine
- Is naturally found in red meat and produces better ATP production. Creatine aids in an intense workout and can help you pump out more reps and give you more energy overall. Fat burners- Fat burners aid in breaking down fat and help control ones appetite.

Glucosamine
- Glucosamine is a supplement that helps joint mobility and helps joint pain. However, glucosamine can be disputed with its results.

Fish Oil
- Helps you get your omega 3's and 6's and is really good for your heart.

Lifting Gloves
- Help protect your hands on heavy exercises such as the deadlift. They also aid in grip if you have a tendency to have sweaty hands when working out. Personally, I once dropped a 200 pound deadlift on my food.......it hurt bad.

Energy Supplements
- These can range from monster energy drinks to caffeine pills. Caffeine pills are healthier though as they don't contain sugar.

Knee Braces
- Knee braces help keep the knees stabilised and prevent injury in exercises such as the squat and deadlift.

Glutamine
- Glutamine is one of the most important protein amino acids and it can be found easier through supplementation.
